This a cover of Johnny Cash’s Get Rhythm that I did for a Mojo magazine compilation/tribute CD back in 2004, shortly after Johnny passed on. I’m definitely a small fish on the CD, but it was an honor to share disk space with Merle Haggard, Nick Cave, Robbie Fulks, and Giant Sand, among others.

It originally appeared on the B-side of the Chug-a-Lug 7-inch that Loose put out sometime back then (some copies available on the merch page), and then somehow ended up on some UK bootleg CD that came out in 2015, which is how it made its way to Spotify, etc. For some reason though, it was never available in the US or Canada, and maybe elsewhere, so this new digital release is just to sort that out.
